Kawasaki Vulcan S 650

Some twins look alike and have a special bond that is clear for all to see, yet, you get twins that don't even look related and if it wasn't for the fact they share birthdays and parents you would assume they were just good friends who share a surname. Vulcan 650 also has adjustable foot pegs for the rider, to compliment the adjustments made to the seat. From superbikes, racerep to sports tourers, Delkevic is constantly expanding the range of exhaust systems to include applications for many Japanese and European Motorcycles.

The five, twin-spoke wheels are shod with 300mm ABS-equipped front discs with a two-piston calliper at the front and a 250mm disc and single piston calliper at the rear. While effective vehicle speed and engine speed may vary by model, paying attention to conditions that cause the "ECO" mark to appear can help riders improve their fuel efficiency - a handy way to increase cruising range.

The twin cylinder motor is very refined while the low 705 mm of seat height offers best in class ride quality to the rider. You can buy easy-reach handlebars ($89) that shorten the reach by 44mm, comfort seats ($334.99) that shorten best exhaust or lengthen the distance from the bars by 53mm and shift linkage rods that move the footpegs forward or back by 25mm.

The pillion seat is more of a cosmetic addition and isn't very comfortable, unless you are really quality is impressive as the Vulcan S absorbs bumps and potholes very well without the jarring effect seen on several cruisers with low suspension travel.

At that price point, the Vulcan S locks horns with the hugely successful Harley-Davidson Street 750 and the Harley-Davidson Street Rod What the Vulcan S offers is a slightly modern approach to cruiser styling and a proven to be refined and competent 650 cc parallel-twin engine.

Now, if we talk about its rivals the 650 twins will compete directly with the likes of Harley Davidson Street 750 and the Kawasaki Vulcan S. The Vulcan S shares the same engine with some other Kawasaki middleweight motorcycles including the Z650 and the Ninja 650.
